How Online Appointment Booking Works for Patients

This article explains what patients experience when scheduling an appointment through the Online Appointment Booking link. 


The steps outlined here can be customized as described in the setup article.


Patient Booking Process:


1. Access the Booking Link:

  • Patients open the provided booking link.


2. Patient Type Selection:

  • Patients indicate whether they are a new or returning patient.
  • They then select the type of appointment they wish to schedule. (You can customize the available appointment types in the settings.)



3. Provider Selection:

  • Patients choose which provider they want to see.
  • The system will show the earliest available appointment time with an option to view more available times.


4. View More Options:

  • If patients select to view more options, they will be taken to a calendar displaying open availability.
  • Patients can then choose the date and time that works best for them.


5. Submit Appointment:

  • Patients fill out their personal information.
  • They submit the appointment request.


Depending on your settings, the appointment will either be directly added to your schedule or sent to Practice by Numbers (PbN) for approval.
