How to Use the Patient Communication Center to Send Text Messages.

Note: This feature is available with the Engage or Grow package.

The Patient Communication Center allows you to send text messages to your patients easily. Follow these steps to use it effectively:

1. Access the Communication Center:

  • Find the Communication Center icon at the bottom left of every page in PBN.
  • Click on the icon to open it. You will also see a number indicating how many unread incoming messages you have.

2. View Existing Conversations:

  • Once the panel is open, you will see a list of existing conversations, including both incoming and outgoing messages.

3. Compose a New Message:

  • Click the pencil icon located at the upper right corner of the panel to start composing a new message.
  • Begin typing the recipient's name or phone number. A list of matching contacts will appear for you to select from. You can also send messages to any phone number, even if it is not linked to an existing patient.

Write and Send Your Message:

  • After selecting the recipient, enter your message in the text box.
  • You have the option to use prewritten templates or add emojis. The options available include:
    • Treatment Plan
    • General/Consent Form
    • Payment Request
    • Review Request
    • Use Template
    • Add Emoji

  • Select the desired option and follow the prompts to include it in your message.
  • Review the message preview in the text box, and click "Send" when you're ready.
