Follow these guidelines to make your Practice IQ reports more informative. Without these steps, new subscribers to Practice by Numbers using Eaglesoft may encounter distorted KPIs.

Appointment Scheduling

  • Hygiene-Related Visits: Practice IQ can identify if a patient schedules an appointment six months in advance but cannot detect if it’s a hygiene visit. This can falsely lower the hygiene pre-appointment percentage.
  • Service Codes: Ensure service codes are entered in appointments. Without them, Practice IQ cannot calculate the scheduled production for any day or time range, nor can it determine the scheduled production for each provider.

Appointments and Providers

  • Provider Discrepancies: In Eaglesoft, the Walkout process can be done in the patient's Account Window, causing potential discrepancies. One provider may be associated with the service codes in the ledger, while another is linked to the appointment. This leads to inaccuracies in both Provider Hours Worked and Hourly Production KPIs, as the time seen is credited to one provider while the production amount is assigned to another.
