Yealink’s wireless phones for PbN Voice consist of two parts: the Base and the Handset. Each base can connect to multiple handsets, with the Yealink W73P Base capable of supporting up to 10 handsets.
Quick Start: Setting up Handsets for PbN Voice
Steps:
Register Handsets to the Base
Register each available handset to the designated base station.
Add the Base’s MAC Address in the PbN Admin Console
In the admin console, navigate to the device page and enter the MAC address of the base.
Set Up User Extensions
Assign user extension lines to each handset on the device page. For example, if you have 5 handsets, set up lines 1 through 5 as User Extension Line Types with the respective extensions.
Reboot the Base and Handsets
If the lines do not appear on the handset immediately, restart both the base and handsets.
Verify Lines on the Handset
After reboot, press the line button on each handset. You should see one active line, while the others will show a red call icon, indicating they cannot be used for outgoing calls from that specific handset.
Configuring Incoming Calls on Handsets
Access the Settings Menu
On any handset, go to the Settings menu.
Navigate to Telephony Settings
Select the Telephony option to access call settings.
Select Incoming Lines
Choose Incoming Lines to manage which handsets will accept incoming calls.
Enter the PIN
When prompted, enter the phone’s PIN. The default PIN is “0000” unless it has been customized.
Choose the Handset for Incoming Line Configuration
Select the handset for which you wish to set incoming call preferences.
Set Lines to Accept or Ignore
For each line, choose ACCEPT for lines you wish to ring on that handset or IGNORE to prevent calls from ringing on that line. Click SAVE when finished.
Each handset will now ring based on the incoming line settings configured, providing more control over call distribution in your practice.
