Appointment Reminder/Confirmation Message Selection

When setting up the Follow-up Appointment Reminders Campaign and you select the Edit button for an SMS or Email message, you'll see multiple message options. Here's an explanation of the "Save the Date Reminder" category, which is sent when an appointment is initially created or modified.

Single vs. Multiple Patients

The message sent will vary based on whether the appointment is for one person or multiple family members scheduled for the same day. This prevents patients from receiving redundant messages for each family member.

Appointment Changes

If the appointment day or time changes, a unique message will be sent to notify the patient of this change.

Subsequent Campaign Steps

In the following steps of the campaign, the message sent will depend on the appointment status:

  • Confirmed Status: The message will serve as a reminder of the upcoming visit.

  • Unconfirmed Status: The message will request a response to confirm the scheduled visit.

Unconfirmed Status Option

Each step in the campaign also includes an option to send messages only to appointments with an unconfirmed status. This ensures that only those needing confirmation will receive reminders.

This setup helps to streamline communication and reduce redundant notifications for your patients.
