Charging a Card on the POS Terminal

Process the Card Payment

1. Choose Payment Method:

   • On the payment screen, select 'Credit Card' or the specific card type being used.

2. Swipe/Insert/Use Contactless Payment:

   • Swipe: If the card has a magnetic strip, swipe it through the card reader.
   • Insert: For chip-enabled cards, insert the card into the chip reader.
   • Contactless: If the card supports contactless payments, ask the customer to tap their card or device on the reader.

3. Verify Transaction Details:

   • Ensure the total amount displayed on the terminal is correct.
   • The customer may be prompted to enter their PIN or provide a signature depending on the card type and payment amount.

Step 4: Confirm and Complete the Transaction

1. Transaction Authorization:

   • Wait for the terminal to process the payment. This may take a few seconds.
   • Once authorized, the terminal will display a confirmation message.

2. Print or Email Receipt:

   • After the payment is successfully processed, select whether to print a physical receipt or email it to the customer.
   • Provide the receipt to the customer as proof of purchase.

Step 5: Sync Payment

1. Once a payment has been made navigate back to the Payments Table within your browser and tag the payment back to the Patient.
